The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with FDR Safety, LLC, a nationally recognized company that specializes in safety and training, is offering a two-day workshop on OSHA 10 Hour for General Industry
April 25-26, 2012 at the Summit Conference Center in Charleston, WV.
This course covers a series of safety topics that are commonly dealt with in 29 CFR 1910.
The course reviews the hazards associated with general industry through a review of OSHA regulations and focuses on the prevention of injuries associated with the hazards. This course is taught through the use of slides and lecture with classroom discussion and hands-on exercises. This workshop is taught by an OSHA authorized trainer and designed for management, supervisors, safety committee members, health and safety coordinators, human resource managers, safety directors, and any employee charged with overseeing safety. The registration fee of $340 for WV Chamber members or $440 for non-members includes writing materials, text book, break refreshments and a mid-day meal on the first day. The two-day training session will accommodate the required ten hours of training and required safety topics, including: introduction to OSHA, fire protection and emergency planning, electrical safety, hazard communication (Right to Know), personal protective equipment, workplace inspection and much more.
