Melissa Spangler is joining the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce as Program Manager after serving as an American Family Insurance Agent in Centerville, OH.  She is originally from WV and a graduate of Ritchie County High School.  She graduated from Robert Morris University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, with a minor in Entrepreneurship.  She received her Masters in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2006.

Previously, Melissa has interned at Simonton Windows, Inc. within their marketing department where she designed sales plans for specific product lines and client accounts.  She has also worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV serving as the temporary foundation director.  While managing her insurance agency she served on several boards including: Greater Dayton Apartment Association’s Rent Foundation, Xenia Board of Parks and Recreation, and Centerville Optimist Childhood Cancer. She had served as Chairperson for 2 years for the Greene County Relay for Life where she managed and organized the event.
